Chapter History

It was a cold October night when 25 guys met at the Embassy suites on S. College Avenue. Regional consultants Richie Dinets and Jeremy Greenberg were there to advise as the Rho Deuteron colony of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity was about to elect it’s first executive board. At 8:08 PM, the election results for Brother Master (President) were in, and Geoff Schoenberg (‘07) took that coveted position as the first leader of Rho Deuteron in 5 years. The rest of the e-board was elected that night, with Lt. Master, Scribe, Ben Warheit (‘08), Exchequer, Ross Rozansky (‘06), and Brother-at-Large, Matthew Solomon (’08). By the end of that first year, the brotherhood was down to 17 brothers, and a new Lt. Master, Keith Bielory (’08). In September, of 2005, the brothers traveled down to University of Maryland, College Park, to get initiated by the brothers of the Delta Deuteron chapter, and so the Founding Father class was officially brothers of AEPi fraternity.

In the coming months, the Beta Class, made of 11 young men, was successfully initiated as brothers, led by pledge master Brandon Newland (’06). Our first semester on campus brought about the Gamma class, and a presence in our first Greek Games. The Fall ’06 semester brought about the Delta class, led by new pledge master, former Lt. Master, Keith Bielory. Overall, Rho Deuteron has worked through many obstacles in regaining our chapter status on UD’s campus, and as of present, 44 brothers will continue to succeed and hope to bring in a quality Spring ’07 pledge class.
